Having experienced service from this surgery and some in Birmingham I can say hands down this is a good surgery. I find it easy to get an appointment and all the staff I have encountered there have been incredibly friendly and helpful.
Having lived all over the world this is absolutely the worst surgery I have ever been to - although my repeat meds were on their records, I could not get a repeat for thyroxine via a phone consultation despite the fact that it is essential that I take it every day. The doctor I spoke to was intentionally unhelpful - the type that likes to be in charge - he should not be a doctor! My understanding of a doctor is someone who tries their best to help and not make life more difficult just because he can. The other doctors I saw there were not much better - there should be a sign over their entrance saying "Smiles and kindness not to be expected"I changed to Padarn Surgery - they have some great doctors but getting an appointment is difficult, especially if you ask for a particular doctor. However, at least they are friendly and try to help.
