Beautiful location but the facilities are very basic.
Lovely, small, quiet campsite - if you like camping in an isolated place, this is absolutely for you! Its located in the beautiful Ystwyth valley, just as you get into the wonderfully remote uplands beyond the village of Cwmystwyth. The site is right on the river, and although its next to the mountain road, its very peaceful - the occasional car or bunch of motorbikes soon passes and only emphasises how quiet it is normally. The facilities are fine for a small, uncommercial site and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Just sit back, listen to the river and watch the light shift on the hillsides that surround the site. Will definitely go back!

Idyllic little campsite situated rather remotely in the cwmystwyth valley. Great if you want to escape civilisation and be away from signal and annoying messages and phone calls. The midges can get rather feisty, be sure to bring insect repellent and citronella candles. It's perfectly situated if you have a weekend planned of exploring the cwmystwyth mines and/or the Elan Valley reservoirs. Aberystwyth is only a 30minute drive for some chips by the sea or other excellent evening dining.
